LUMPKIN, GA- On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the regular slated Board meeting, the Stewart County Board of Education voted to adjust its 2022-2023 school calendar to reflect a change to the Class of 2023 Graduation date.

Stewart County Schools recently received a donation of disinfecting wipes from World Vision and Community Care. Special thanks to Mr. Walter Brown, Stewart County Alumni ( Class of 1972), for transporting the supplies.

SCHS & SQHS Hold Turkey and Canned Food Drive

SCHS & SQHS held a Turkey and Canned Food Drive on November 14 & 15 to raise money and collected non-perishable food to benefit the Stewart County Senior Center and Four County Health Care. Donations were accepted in both nonperishable food items and cash to purchase turkeys. Thanksgiving baskets will be delivered to both facilities on November 22, 2022.

Stewart County Schools Receives Grant Funding from the Project innovATe

LUMPKIN, GA- We are excited to announce that Stewart County Schools has collaborated with the University of Connecticut's Korey Stringer Institute (KSI) and has received grant funding from the Project innovATe grant which provides funding for athletic training services for secondary school athletes in traditionally underserved communities. As a result of this grant, Stewart County Schools hired Ms. Jessica McManus to serve as its athletic trainer. The University of Connecticut's Dr. Christianne Eason visited Stewart County for homecoming. Special Education Teacher Mr. Derrell Anthony is this week’s Kinetic Credit Union Golden Apple Award Recipient.

LUMPKIN, GA- Stewart County School District is excited to announce that Special Education Teacher Mr. Derrell Anthony is this week’s Kinetic Credit Union Golden Apple Award Recipient. Parent Daniel Keith nominated Mr. Anthony for this coveted award. “Dedication, effort, commitment, endurance, tact, and teamwork bearing unselfishness," Parent Daniel Keith said. “Mr. Anthony works from sun up to sun down and weekends after hours. Our school needs more teachers like Mr. Anthony.”
