Stewart County has a State Champion - Chavondria Crimes
For the first time in history, we have a State Championship in Stewart County School District.
On May 13, 2023, Senior Scholar Chavondria Crimes won the GHSA 1A-Div 2 State Girls 100 Meter Championship! Miss Crimes also placed 5th in the 200 meter competition. Also competing in the State competition was Senior Scholar Martrel Tarver, who placed 6th in the GHSA State 200 Meter Championship and 8th in the GHSA Men's 400 Meter State Championship.
Also noteworthy, Freshman Scholar Zaindelle Brown made it to sectionals in her first season of high school track competition.
